Mr. Abdullah Bin Nasser Al Dawood, Managing Director and CEO at Al-Tayyar Travel Group Holding, has received his Excellency Mr. Polychronis POLYCHRONIOU, Ambassador of Greece to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, at Al-Tayyar’s headquarters in the city of Riyadh.

Mr. Abdullah Bin Nasser Al Dawood, Managing Director and CEO at Al-Tayyar Travel Group Holding, has received his Excellency Mr. Polychronis POLYCHRONIOU, Ambassador of Greece to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, at Al-Tayyar’s headquarters in the city of Riyadh.
They discussed several issues concerning the tourism sector, as well as the close working relationship between Al-Tayyar Travel Group – one of the biggest travel and tourism companies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Middle East – and Greece, as one of the most important tourist destinations in the world.
Discussions covered the prospects of future cooperation to further increase the comfort and well-being of all those from the Middle East who wish to visit Greece.
The Ambassador was briefed on the developments, programs and refresher promotions being offered by Al-Tayyar Group throughout the year. He praised the group’s work, and the remarkable tourist programs offered to its clients, expressing the willingness of the Embassy of Greece to collaborate with Al-Tayyar to pursue their mutual interests.
POLYCHRONIOU commended the relationship between the kingdom and Greece, and the role of Al-Tayyar Group in providing travel and tourism in the Middle East and the world, especially the luxury it provides to visitors to Greece.
Abdullah Bin Nasser Al Dawood recognized the connections between the two countries, including the deep-rooted cultural bonds, and the recent prominent economic and political relations.
He added: "Recent years have witnessed a significant increase in the mutual investments that are helping to develop the relationship between our countries. The number of Saudi tourists heading to Greece rose this year. Greece, which enjoys a cultural heritage and splendid tourist capabilities, has become a destination for many Saudi citizens. Al-Tayyar Travel Group is committed to ensuring that their visits are spent in comfort and luxury through offering top services for affordable prices.
Al Dawood also mentioned that Al-Tayyar Travel Group has recently signed a general partnership agreement with AEGEAN AIRLINES. Under the agreement, Al-Tayyar Travel Group became the Greek airline’s exclusive agent in the kingdom. He pointed out that AEGEAN AIRLINES currently operates two flights a week from Athens to Riyadh, which will increase to four flights in summer 2016. Three flights from Athens to Jeddah will also be launched starting in March 2016. Al Dawood emphasized that AEGEAN AIRLINES enjoys a good reputation globally, and is classified as one of the leading companies in Europe due to the dozens of daily flights that it offers to destinations across the globe, including Cyprus, Istanbul, London, Frankfurt, Paris, Vienna, Zurich, Geneva, Rome and Milan.
